Chris Blundell (President)
Chris Blundell specialises only in adult foot and ankle conditions. He is a consultant in Sheffield. He carried out two fellowships in foot and ankle surgery in Melbourne, Australia in 2001/2. He was awarded an MD for research into foot pressures. He is a Sheffield graduate whose higher surgical training was in Cambridge and Norwich. He is Clinical Lead for the Sheffield Foot and Ankle Unit, and Chairman of Sheffield Orthopaedics Limited.
Steve Hepple (President Elect)
Steve Hepple graduated in 1991 at Sheffield University. He trained in Sheffield and Bristol undertaking fellowships in Brisbane and Dallas. His elective practice consists entirely of adult foot and ankle but he also undertakes general trauma at the North Bristol Major Trauma Centre. He has specific interest in arthroscopic surgery and ankle replacements. He is a director of the sport & orthopaedic clinic in Bristol and clinical director for orthopaedics in North Bristol NHS Trust. He has served on the Education sub-committee before serving as Treasurer of BOFAS from 2009-15.
Bill Harries - President Emeritus
Bill Harries graduated from the London Hospital Medical College in 1985.
His clinical training was on the West London circuit before moving to Bristol as a senior registrar. He was appointed Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon to Frenchay Hospital Bristol in 1997. He has a specialist interest in adult orthopaedic foot and ankle problems and particularly arthroscopic surgery. Chair Scientific Committee until 11/14.
Tricia Allen (BOFAS Secretary)
Patricia Allen was trained in orthopaedic surgery in Birmingham and Bristol. She undertook a fellowship in foot and ankle and paediatric orthopaedic surgery in Dublin in 1998 and was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Bristol in 2000. She moved to Leicester as a Consultant in 2003 and has developed the Foot and Ankle service here.
Heath Taylor - Treasurer
Heath Taylor graduated from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in 1994 and completed his Orthopaedic training on the North West Thames training rotation. He carried out his fellowship in complex foot and ankle surgery at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. He is currently a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Foot & Ankle surgery at The Royal Bournemouth & Poole Hospitals. He takes a particular interest in training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons and in 2012 was voted the Wessex Region Trainer of the Year.

James Ritchie - Webmaster
Mr James Ritchie is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon based in Tunbridge Wells and was appointed in 2005. He trained in the SE Thames Region and has undertaken a Specialist Foot & Ankle Fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore. He is committed to medical education and runs the South East Thames Foot and Ankle training programme and the Guy's Hospital Foot and Ankle Course .
James Davis - Chair EdComm
James Davis graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1990 and completed surgical training in London. His orthopaedic training was in the South Thames region. He was fellowship trained at the University of Johns Hopkins, USA. He was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Torbay Hospital in 2001. He started a specialist foot and ankle service in South Devon and runs the South West Foot and Ankle Centre.

Matt Solan - Chairman SciComm
Matthew Solan graduated from St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School in 1992 and completed his training in Oxford, Guildford and London. He has worked overseas in South Africa and at the Universities of Johns Hopkins and Maryland, Baltimore, USA.
His NHS post is at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford. He has Research links with the University of Surrey.
Matt has published extensively on foot and ankle surgery. He teaches on National and International Course. His training commitments include being Program Director for both Orthopaedic Surgery and Core Surgical Training in Kent, Surrey and Sussex and Examining for the Intercollegiate Board FRCS(Tr&Orth).

Andy Molloy is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle surgeon at University Hospital Aintree. He graduated form University of Leeds in 1996 and completed his higher surgical training in the Mersey Region. He completed a fellowship with Mark Myerson in Baltimore, USA. Andy Molloy is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. He has a keen research interest. He is on the teaching faculty for many national and international foot and ankle courses.

Anthony Sakellariou - Director
qualified in medicine at University College London in 1987. His surgical training was undertaken in London and Winchester and he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS England) in 1992. He then went on to specialise in orthopaedic surgery gaining the FRCS (Orth) in 1996 and the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 1999. His sub-specialty training in foot and ankle surgery was undertaken in Vancouver, Canada and the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, Arizona. Following this training he was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Advanced Foot and Ankle Training by the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Anthony teaches nationally and internationally on many aspects of foot and ankle surgery. He is also an associate editor of the journal 'Foot and Ankle International'. He has worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital since 1999.
