The British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) is a registered charity dedicated to the advancing the state of foot and ankle surgery in the UK and abroad. Medical conditions of the foot and ankle are common affecting children as well as adults and can be extremely disabling. There has been considerable progress in the treatment of these conditions but much more needs to be done and research is ongoing.
BOFAS is respected as one of the world's leading organisations in providing educational content to train the next generation of foot and ankle surgeons, and help practicing foot and ankle surgeons and allied health professionals keep up to date. BOFAS also focusses it's time and effort into advancing the management of and research into problems affecting the foot and ankle. We also produce national guidance on best practice, empower our members to collect data to monitor their practice and improve outcomes and offer grants and to allow surgeons and allied health professionals in training participate in research and access educational opportunities.
You may have benefited from the skill of a Foot & Ankle surgeon. You can help greatly by supporting BOFAS continue our research, education and work on improving patient outcomes. Please give what you can. Every pound you give helps us carry out vital work.
