BOFAS Education

At the very core of the BOFAS Constitution is the advancement of education in Foot & Ankle Surgery. Our BOFAS Education Committee is well known to be a leader amongst Orthopaedic sub-specialties, with a portfolio of courses across the UK, a range of online teaching webinars and a sponsorship programme supporting training in Foot & Ankle surgery at all levels. Furthermore we support multiple associated organisations, arranging for expert Foot & Ankle Surgeons to teach on their courses across the UK and the world.

We run the following courses

BOFAS Principles of Foot & Ankle Surgery Course - This flagship course for Registrars is in its 10th year and has become a “must do course” according to BOTA. Twice per year the two day course is hosted across the UK with a further course with an additional third day teaching cadaver surgical skills.

Advanced Foot & Ankle Forum – This invitational course for the most senior trainees acts as a finishing school for the next generation of Foot & Ankle Consultants.

BOFAS Instructional Course at the BOA (British Orthopaedic Association) Annual Congress.

BOFAS/AFAP (Association of Foot & Ankle Physiotherapists) Courses at either Principles or Advanced levels, for physiotherapists, orthotists and podiatrists.
