The British European Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Academy (BEOFAA) has set up an online Fellowship Course covering a broad range of topics related to foot and ankle care. 

BEOFAA was founded by by specialist orthopaedic surgeons Maneesh Bhatia (UK) and Manuel Monteagudo (Spain). The fellowships are suitable for orthopaedic surgeons who wish to deepen their knowledge in the field of foot and ankle surgery and are designed to strengthen understanding of foot and ankle mechanics through the provision of on-demand tutorials, analysis of real-life cases, and personalised feedback. It is ideal for practising surgeons and foot specialists, allowing surgeons to learn from the comfort of their home.

The fellowship sessions are delivered by foot and ankle experts and focuses on pathomechanics, diagnosis and the managing of complications, enabling fellows to be better prepared for a wide range of foot and ankle cases. It runs 3 times a year, with:

  • 14-week comprehensive online programme
  • Lectures by world-class foot and ankle surgeons
  • High-quality content covering both orthopaedics and trauma
  • Hand-picked cases to improve surgical skills and confidence
  • Guidance on avoiding and managing complications
  • Personalised feedback on submitted cases
  • On-demand access to recorded lectures for convenient learning
  • Certificate of Completion on finishing the programme

 

BEOFAA also collaborates with other partners such as OrthoOracle to enhance the learning opportunities for fellows.
