Event date: 23/01/2025 - 24/01/2025 Export event Karan Malhotra / 17 November 2024 / Categories: Independent Courses Ankle Arthroplasty - State of the Art 23rd - 24th Jan 2025, University of Barcelona This 2-day cadaver course held at the University of Barcelona is aimed at senior trainees and foot and ankle fellows and surgeons wishing to increase their exposure to ankle replacement surgery. The course will focus on the principles of ankle arthroplasty and case selection on the first day, with experienced ankle arthroplasty surgeons teaching the delegates on cadavers the different designs of contemporary ankle replacements. Case based discussions on management of complications after ankle arthroplasty and revision options will also take place. The second day of the course is concentrated on hindfoot fusion surgery, both tibiotalar and tibiotalocalcaneal fusions. Cadaver lab sessions will enable delegates practising on ankle fusion plates and hindfoot fusion nailing techniques.
