BOFAS Principles Course Taunton

These courses are aimed at Higher Surgical Trainees / ST3 onwards and are designed to teach the core of Foot and Ankle surgery in an informal and interactive environment. The emphasis is on clinical examination cases, discussion groups and typical day-to-day clinic scenarios. Although not an exam preparation course, content is taught to the standard expected in the FRCS(Tr & Orth) exam; that of a day-one non-specialist orthopaedic consultant. Applications will open on 1st September 2023.

4th Diabetic Foot Reconstruction Cadaveric Workshop

1st-3rd December, 2025

This is an intensive 2.5-day cadaveric workshop, combining focused lectures with hands-on practical sessions delivered by an experienced faculty. The course is designed for diabetic foot surgeons from the UK and overseas who are involved in the management of complex diabetic foot conditions.

The programme will include practical workshops on:

  • Total Contact Cast application
  • In-clinic tendon releases
  • Soft tissue balancing, including tendon transfers
  • Surgical offloading procedures, including bony reconstruction techniques
  • Soft tissue wound coverage options, such as the medial plantar artery flap
  • The latest Transverse Tibial Transport (TTT) system

Places are limited, so early registration is recommended.

£600 earlybird (15th October 2025), £750 thereafter. Registration closes 15th November 2025.
