There is an emphasis on clinical examination of cases, small group discussions and learning surgical approaches in the cadaver lab. The emphasis is on clinical examination cases, discussion groups and typical day-to-day clinic scenarios. Although not an exam preparation course, content is taught to the standard expected in the FRCS(Tr & Orth) exam; that of a day-one non-specialist orthopaedic consultant. The course is designed for diabetic foot surgeons from the UK and overseas who are involved in the management of complex diabetic foot conditions. The programme will include practical workshops on: Total Contact Cast application In-clinic tendon releases Soft tissue balancing, including tendon transfers Surgical offloading procedures, including bony reconstruction techniques Soft tissue wound coverage options, such as the medial plantar artery flap The latest Transverse Tibial Transport (TTT) system Places are limited, so early registration is recommended. £600 earlybird (15th October 2025), £750 thereafter.
